रुद्राणामेति प्रदिशा विचक्षणो रुद्रेभिर्योषा तनुते पृथु ज्रयः । इन्द्रं मनीषा अभ्यर्चति श्रुतं मरुत्वन्तं सख्याय हवामहे ॥
rudrā́ṇām eti prádiśā vicakṣaṇó rudrébhir yóṣā tanute pṛthú járyaḥ | índraṁ manīṣā́ abhy àrcati śrutáṁ marútvantaṁ sakhyā́ya havāmahe ||
พระองค์เสด็จไปตามทิศทางแห่งเหล่ารุทรา (Rudra) ผู้เห็นไกลด้วยทัศนะกว้าง; พร้อมด้วยรุทรา พลังหนุ่มสาวแผ่ขยายเครื่องเทียมอันกว้างใหญ่ ความคิดอันดลใจของเราขับสรรเสริญอินทรา ผู้เป็นที่ได้ยินรับ (śruta)—อินทราผู้มีมรุตเป็นสหายองค์นั้น เราขออัญเชิญเพื่อมิตรภาพอันเป็นสหายร่วม.
