Sukta 4

श॒तधा॑रं वा॒युम॒र्कं स्व॒र्विदं॑ नृ॒चक्ष॑स॒स्ते अ॒भि च॑क्षते र॒यिम्। ये पृ॒णन्ति॒ प्र च॒ यच्छ॑न्ति सर्व॒दा ते दु॑ह्रते॒ दक्षि॑णां स॒प्तमा॑तरम्

śatádhāraṃ vāyúm arkáṃ svarvídaṃ nṛcákṣasas te abhí cakṣate rayím | yé pṛṇánti prá ca yáchanti sarvadā́ té duhrate dákṣiṇāṃ saptá-mātaram |

The hundred-streaming Wind, the Sun, heaven-winning, man-beholding—these look with favor upon wealth. They who fill and who bestow, evermore—these milk forth the priestly meed, the seven-mothered.

ลมผู้ไหลเป็นร้อยสาย ดวงอาทิตย์ ผู้ให้ได้มาซึ่งสวรรค์ ผู้มองเห็นมนุษย์—เหล่านี้เพ่งมองทรัพย์ด้วยความเอื้อเฟื้อ ผู้ที่ทำให้เต็มและผู้ที่มอบให้เสมอ—เขาทั้งหลายรีดเอาค่าบูชาแก่ปุโรหิต (ทักษิณา dakṣiṇā) ออกมาจากผู้มีมารดาเจ็ดประการนั้น
