Sukta 32
antárikṣá āsā́m sthā́ma śrānta-sadā́m iva | āsthā́nam asyá bhūtásyá vidúṣ tád vedháso ná vā́ ||
Mid-air is their station, as it were the seat of the weary; the standing-ground of this Being—this the wise ordainers know, and not otherwise, forsooth.
Rishi: Uncertain from the isolated verse; commonly requires hymn colophon/traditional anukramaṇī data for AVŚ 1.32.
Devata: Antarikṣa as locus; and/or the ‘Bhūta’ (as the addressed/managed entity) within an apotropaic frame.
Chandas: Likely Anuṣṭubh (requires full metrical check across the pādas; this verse is consistent with anuṣṭubh-style cadence).
Primary: bhayankara
Secondary: shanta
