Sukta 7.23
अयामि घोष इन्द्र देवजामिरिरज्यन्त यच्छुरुधो विवाचि । नहि स्वमायुश्चिकिते जनेषु तानीदंहांस्यति पर्ष्यस्मान् ॥
ayā́mi ghóṣa indra devájāmir irajyánta yác churúdho vivā́ci | náhi svám ā́yuś cikité jáneṣu tā́nīd aṃhā́ṃsy áti parṣy asmā́n ||
ஓ இந்திரா, தேவஜாமி—தேவர்களின் உறவினனே! பகைத் தடைகள் தனித்தனியாகப் பேசி குழப்பம் விளைவிக்கும் போது, நான் இந்த முழக்கத்தை அனுப்புகிறேன். மனிதர்களில் யாரும் தன் ஆயுள் அளவைத் துல்லியமாக அறியார்; ஆகவே இச் சுருக்கங்களும் குற்றங்களும் கடந்துபோக எங்களை அப்பால் கொண்டு செல்.
