Sukta 3.4
यं देवासस्त्रिरहन्नायजन्ते दिवेदिवे वरुणो मित्रो अग्निः । सेमं यज्ञं मधुमन्तं कृधी नस्तनूनपाद्घृतयोनिं विधन्तम् ॥
yáṃ devā́sás trír áhan ā́-yájante dive-dive váruṇo mitró agníḥ | sémáṃ yajñáṃ mádhu-mantaṃ kṛdhī nas tanū-napād ghṛtá-yonim vidhántam ||
தேவர்கள் நாள்தோறும் மூன்று வேளைகளிலும் யாரை வழிபடுகிறார்களோ—வருணன், மித்ரன், அக்னி—அவர்கள் எங்கள் இந்த யாகத்தை மதுமயமாக ஆக்குவாராக. தனூனபாதே! நெய்-யோனி (நெய் ஆதாரம்) கொண்ட, விதிப்படி ஒழுங்குபடுத்தப்பட்ட இந்த கர்மத்தை எங்களுக்காக நிறுவுவாயாக.
