Sukta 2.31
उत स्य न इन्द्रो विश्वचर्षणिर्दिवः शर्धेन मारुतेन सुक्रतुः । अनु नु स्थात्यवृकाभिरूतिभी रथं महे सनये वाजसातये ॥
utá syá na índro viśvácarṣaṇir diváḥ śárdhena mārútena sukrátuḥ | ánu nú sthāty avṛkā́bhir ūtíbhī ráthaṃ mahé sánaye vā́ja-sātaye ||
மேலும் இந்திரனும்—அனைத்து மனிதர்களுக்காகச் செயல்படுபவன் (வిశ்வசர்ஷணி)—வானத்திலிருந்து வரும் மருத் படையுடன், ஒளிமிக்க உறுதி/சங்கல்பம் (ஸுக்ரது) உடன், இப்போது நம்மைத் தொடர்ந்து நிற்கிறான்; துரோகம் செய்யாத (அவ்ருக) காப்புகளுடன் (ஊதிபிஃ). மாபெரும் வெற்றிக்காக, வாஜப் பெறுதலுக்காக, அவன் ரதத்தை நிலைநிறுத்தி அமைக்கிறான்.
