Sukta 10.79
गुहा शिरो निहितमृधगक्षी असिन्वन्नत्ति जिह्वया वनानि । अत्राण्यस्मै पड्भिः सं भरन्त्युत्तानहस्ता नमसाधि विक्षु ॥
guhā́ śíro níhitaṁ ṛ́dhag akṣī́ ásinvan atti jihváyā vánāni | átrāṇy asmai paṭ-bhíḥ sáṁ bharanty uttānā́-hastā námasā́ ádhi vikṣú ||
குகை (மறை குகை) யில் சிரஸ் (தலை) பதிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது; இரு கண்களும் தனித்தனியாக அமைந்துள்ளன. வெளியில் இருந்து அழுத்தப்படாதபோதும், அவன் தன் ஜிஹ்வையால் வனங்களை உண்ணுகிறான். அவனுக்காக மக்கள் தங்கள் அடிகளால் அர்க்யம்/ஹவிர்திரவியத்தைச் சேர்த்து, கைகளை உயர்த்தி நமஸ்காரம் செய்து, குலங்களின் (விக்ஷு) நடுவே அவனை நிறுவுகின்றனர்.
