Entry into the Chamber of Wrath
Kaikeyī’s Protest

Then Kaikeyi finally took a firm decision. With a soiled body and a frowning face she lay down on the floor.
Dharma stresses mastery over krodha (anger); a decision rooted in anger often leads to harm for family and kingdom.
Kaikeyī adopts the dramatic posture of grievance—lying on the floor with a frown—preparing to force Daśaratha into a promise.
Negative exemplar: the abandonment of composure expected of royalty, highlighting how emotion can be weaponized.
