Канда 12 — ярко выраженная «космико‑социальная» книга Атхарваведы: она утверждает, что ритуальная жизнь, закон и благополучие укоренены в устойчивости Земли и в упорядоченном домохозяйстве. Она открывается пространным гимном Притхви‑суктой (12.1) — знаменательным текстом, освящающим землю, поселение, чистоту и дхарму как продолжения поддерживающей силы Земли. The centerpiece is the Prithvi (Earth) Sukta, 12.1, a long hymn that sacralizes Earth as the basis of purity, settlement, protection, and dharma.
Kanda 12 treats prosperity as grounded in rightly ordered life on Earth; cows and fields are key symbols and instruments of nourishment, wealth, and communal stability, so hymns bless and protect them.
It is predominantly paustika (prosperity and increase), supported by shantika (pacificatory and protective) elements, with minimal focus on healing (bhaisajya) or aggressive rites (abhicarika).
