प्रत्नान्मानादध्या ये समस्वरञ्छ्लोकयन्त्रासो रभसस्य मन्तवः । अपानक्षासो बधिरा अहासत ऋतस्य पन्थां न तरन्ति दुष्कृतः ॥

Transliteration

pratnā́n mā́nād adhyā́ yé sám asvarañ chlokayántrāso rabhasásya mántavaḥ | ápānakṣāso badhirā́ ahāsata ṛtásya pánthāṃ ná taranti duṣkṛ́taḥ ||

Translation

ପ୍ରାଚୀନ ମାପରୁ ସେମାନେ ଏକସ୍ୱର ହୋଇ ଉଠନ୍ତି—ଶ୍ଲୋକକୁ ଯନ୍ତ୍ର ପରି ବାନ୍ଧିଥିବା, ରଭସ ବେଗରେ ପ୍ରେରିତ ଏହି ମନ୍ତବ୍ୟଗୁଡ଼ିକ। କିନ୍ତୁ ଦୁଷ୍କୃତ—ଅକ୍ଷହୀନ, ବଧିର—ଖସିପଡ଼ନ୍ତି; ସେମାନେ ଋତର ପଥକୁ ଅତିକ୍ରମ କରିପାରନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ।
