Sukta 3.16
मा नो अग्नेऽमतये मावीरतायै रीरधः । मागोतायै सहसस्पुत्र मा निदेऽप द्वेषांस्या कृधि ॥
mā́ no agné 'matáye mā́vī́ratāyai rīradhaḥ | mā́gotāyai sahasas-putra mā́ nidè 'pá dveṣā́ṃsy ā́ kṛdhi ||
ହେ ଅଗ୍ନି, ଅମୃତତ୍ୱକୁ ହରିନେବା ଜଡତା ପାଖକୁ ଆମକୁ ନେଇଯାଅ ନାହିଁ; ବୀରତ୍ୱ-ହାନି ପାଖକୁ ମଧ୍ୟ ନୁହେଁ। ଗୋତା (ଗୋ/ଜ୍ଞାନ-କିରଣର ପ୍ରାପ୍ତି) ହାନି ପାଖକୁ ମଧ୍ୟ ନୁହେଁ। ହେ ସହସସ୍ପୁତ୍ର (ବଳର ପୁତ୍ର), ଆମକୁ ନିନ୍ଦାରେ ସମର୍ପିତ କର ନାହିଁ; ଆମଠାରୁ ଦ୍ୱେଷଗୁଡ଼ିକୁ ଦୂର କର।
