Sukta 12
iháiva dhrúvāṃ ní minomi śā́lāṃ kṣéme tiṣṭhāti ghṛtám-ukṣámāṇā | tā́ṃ tvā śāle sárvavīrāḥ suvī́rā áriṣṭavīrā úpa sáṃ carema ||
Here, even here, I set in place the steadfast Hall: in safety may she stand, bedewed with ghee. To thee, O Hall, may we draw near and move about—possessed of all brave sons, of good brave sons, of sons unhurt by harm.
Rishi: Atharvanic tradition (house-establishment hymn; r̥ṣi attribution varies by anukramaṇī)
Devata: Śālā (personified Hall/Dwelling) with implicit Śrī/Protection
Chandas: Anuṣṭubh (predominant domestic meter; some pādas show mixed cadence)
Primary: shanta
Secondary: shringara
