Sukta 7.3
प्रोथदश्वो न यवसेऽविष्यन्यदा महः संवरणाद्व्यस्थात् । आदस्य वातो अनु वाति शोचिरध स्म ते व्रजनं कृष्णमस्ति ॥
prothád aśvó na yávase’viṣyán yadā máhaḥ saṃváraṇād vyásthāt | ā́d asya vā́to ánu vāti śocír ádha sma te vrájanam kṛ́ṣṇam asti ||
तो चारा शोधणाऱ्या अश्वाप्रमाणे उचंबळून पुढे धावतो, जेव्हा तो महान आवरण (संवरण) फोडून बाहेर उभा राहतो. मग वारा त्याच्या ज्वालेच्या मागोमाग वाहतो; आणि तेव्हा तुझा चालता मार्ग काळवंडतो—जिथे अग्नी गेला, तिथे अंधार दग्ध होऊन वाटेची खूण बनतो.
