Sukta 7.3
अग्निं वो देवमग्निभिः सजोषा यजिष्ठं दूतमध्वरे कृणुध्वम् । यो मर्त्येषु निध्रुविॠतावा तपुर्मूर्धा घृतान्नः पावकः ॥
agníṃ vo devám agníbhiḥ sa-jóṣā yájiṣṭhaṃ dūtám adhvaré kṛṇudhvam | yó mártyeṣu ní-dhruvir ṛtá-vā tápur-mūrdhā ghṛtā́nnaḥ pā́vakaḥ ||
देव-अग्नींसह एकचित्त होऊन, यज्ञात सर्वाधिक पूज्य असा दूत—देव अग्नी—तुम्ही आपल्या हेतुने प्रतिष्ठित करा. जो मर्त्यांमध्ये दृढस्थापित आहे, ऋत (सत्य-नियम) धारण करणारा आहे; ज्याचे शिर तप्त तेजाने दाहक आहे, जो घृताने पोसला जातो—तो पावक (शुद्धिकर्ता) आहे.
