एवा जज्ञानं सहसे असामि वावृधानं राधसे च श्रुताय । महामुग्रमवसे विप्र नूनमा विवासेम वृत्रतूर्येषु ॥

Transliteration

evā́ jajñānáṃ sáhase ásāmi vāvṛdhānáṃ rā́dhase ca śrutā́ya | mahā́m ugrám ávase vipra nū́nam ā́ vivāsema vṛtra-tū́ryeṣu ||

Translation

अशाच रीतीने मी पराक्रमासाठी जन्मलेल्या—सहस-शक्तिमानाला—नम्रतेने जवळ करतो; जो समृद्धीसाठी सतत वाढतो आणि आमच्या हाकेला ऐकण्यासाठी. हे विप्र, रक्षणासाठी त्या महान्, उग्राला—आता वृत्र-तूर्येषु (आवरणकर्ता वृत्राविरुद्धच्या युद्धांत) सहाय्यासाठी समीप बोलावूया.
