Sukta 6.38
वर्धाद्यं यज्ञ उत सोम इन्द्रं वर्धाद्ब्रह्म गिर उक्था च मन्म । वर्धाहैनमुषसो यामन्नक्तोर्वर्धान्मासाः शरदो द्याव इन्द्रम् ॥
várdhād yáṃ yajñá utá sóma índraṃ várdhād bráhma gíra ukthā́ ca mánma | várdhāhá enam uṣáso yā́mann aktór várdhān mā́sāḥ śarádo dyā́va índram ||
ज्याला यज्ञ वाढवितो आणि सोमही वाढवितो—तो इंद्र; ज्याला ब्रह्म (पवित्र स्तुती), गिरः (प्रेरित वाणी), उक्थ (पाठ/स्तोत्र) आणि मनस् (चिंतन) वाढवितात. उषा आपल्या गतीत आणि रात्रि त्याला वाढवितात; मास, शरदः (ऋतू) आणि द्यावः (द्युलोक/आकाश) इंद्राला वाढवितात.
