Transliteration

sahā́vā pṛtsú taraṇír nā́rvā vyānaśī́ rodasī́ mehanā́vān | bhágo ná kāré havyo matīnā́m pitā́iva cā́ruḥ suhávo vayaḥdhā́ḥ ||

Translation

तो संघर्षांत सहावा (सहायक-वीर), तरणि (पार करणारा)—जणू वेगवान अश्व; तो दोन्ही रोदसी (दोन लोक/दोन जगत) विस्तारतो आणि मेहना॑वान्—फलदायी जलांचा महान् प्रवाहक—आहे. दानकर्मात तो भगासारखा; आमच्या मती (प्रेरित वाणी) ने तो हव्य (आह्वेय) आहे; पित्याप्रमाणे तो चारु (सुंदर), सुहव (सुलभ-आह्वान्य) आणि वयो॒धा (बलवर्धक) आहे.
