सिन्धुर्न क्षोदः शिमीवाँ ऋघायतो वृषेव वध्रीँरभि वष्ट्योजसा । अग्नेरिव प्रसितिर्नाह वर्तवे यंयं युजं कृणुते ब्रह्मणस्पतिः ॥
síndhur ná kṣódaḥ śimī́vān ṛghāyató vṛ́ṣeva vádhrīm̐r abhí váṣṭy ójasā | agnér iva prá-sitir nā́ha vártave yaṃ-yáṃ yújaṃ kṛṇuté bráhmaṇas-pátiḥ ||
पूर आलेल्या सिंधूसारखा, प्रचंड वेगवान, वाकड्या शत्रूविरुद्ध—तो आपल्या ओजाने प्रहार करतो; जसा वृषभ बांधलेल्या बेड्या पाडून देतो. अग्नीच्या अग्रगामी प्रेरणेसारखा त्याला परतविता येत नाही—ज्याज्याला ब्रह्मणस्पति आपला युज (सह-योक) करतो, त्याला सामर्थ्य देतो.
