हंसैरिव सखिभिर्वावदद्भिरश्मन्मयानि नहना व्यस्यन् । बृहस्पतिरभिकनिक्रदद्गा उत प्रास्तौदुच्च विद्वाँ अगायत् ॥

haṃsáir iva sákhirbhir vā́vadadbhir aśmán-mayāni náhanā vy àsyan | bṛ́haspátir abhí-kanikradad gā́ utá prā́staut úd ca vidvā́n agāyat ||

हंसांसारखे, हाक मारणाऱ्या सख्यांसह, त्यांनी दगडांनी बांधलेली बंधने झटकून टाकली. बृहस्पतीने किरण-गायींना (प्रकाश-गायींना) उद्देशून गर्जना केली; आणि विद्वानाने उंच स्वरात स्तुतीही केली व गानही केले.
