Agastya
It reflects a Purāṇic narrative convention where a renowned Vedic sage (Agastya) establishes authority through longevity across kalpas and through refinement by Vedic learning, situating instruction within a cosmological timescale.
No specific geographic location is named in this verse; it focuses on the speaker’s embodied endurance and Vedic cultivation rather than sacred geography.
The verse foregrounds the ideal of self-cultivation: the refinement of one’s person through disciplined learning (vidyā), particularly Vedic knowledge, presented as a marker of authority and maturity.
