Whoso, O Maruts, beyond all measure deemeth ill of us, or whoso revileth the holy spell while it is being wrought,—for him let burnings and misfortunes be: Heaven on the hater of the Brahman shall scorch down fiercely.
Rishi: Atharvanic tradition (often attributed broadly to Atharvan/Angiras lineages for protective-imprecatory material; specific r̥ṣi not stated in the provided excerpt).
Devata: Maruts; and Dyauḥ (Heaven) as punitive executor; brahman (mantra-power) as quasi-agent.
Chandas: Anuṣṭubh (probable; four pādas with ~8 syllables tendency, though Atharvanic anuṣṭubh is often flexible).
Primary: raudra
Secondary: bhayankara
