Sukta 3.2
आ रोदसी अपृणदा स्वर्महज्जातं यदेनमपसो अधारयन् । सो अध्वराय परि णीयते कविरत्यो न वाजसातये चनोहितः ॥
ā ródasī apṛṇad ā svàr maháj jātáṃ yád enam apáso ádhārayan | só adhvarā́ya pári nīyate kavír átyo ná vā́ja-sātaye cánaḥ-hitaḥ ||
ಅವನನ್ನು (ಅಗ್ನಿಯನ್ನು) ಜನನಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ಮಶಕ್ತಿಗಳು (ಅಪಸಃ) ಧರಿಸಿದಾಗ, ಅವನು ರೋದಸೀ—ಆಕಾಶ ಮತ್ತು ಭೂಮಿ—ಯನ್ನು ತುಂಬಿದನು; ಮಹತ್ತಾದ ಸ್ವರ್ (ವಿಶಾಲ ಪ್ರಕಾಶಮಯ ಲೋಕ)ವನ್ನೂ ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಳಿಸಿದನು. ನಂತರ ಕವಿ (ದೃಷ್ಟಾ) ಯಜ್ಞಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಪರಿ-ನೀಯತೇ—ಯಜ್ಞದಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಿಕ್ರಮಿಸಿ ಮುಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆದೊಯ್ಯಲ್ಪಡುತ್ತಾನೆ—ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿ (ವಾಜಸಾತಿ) ಗೆಲ್ಲಲು ವೇಗವಾದ ಅಶ್ವದಂತೆ; ಅವನು ನಮ್ಮ ಹಿತಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿತನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ (ಚನೋಹಿತಃ).
