Transliteration

bhuvaś cákṣur mahá ṛtásya gopā́ bhuvo váruṇo yád ṛtā́ya véṣi | bhuvo apā́m napāj jāta-vedō bhuvo dūtó yásya havyáṃ jujóṣaḥ ||

Translation

ನೀನು ಮಹಾ ಭುವನಗಳ ಚಕ್ಷು, ಋತದ ಗೋಪಾ, ಆಗುತ್ತೀ; ಋತಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಆವರಿಸಿ ಧರಿಸಿದಾಗ ನೀನು ವರುಣನಾಗುತ್ತೀ. ಹೇ ಜಾತವೇದಸ್, ನೀನು ಅಪಾಂ ನಪಾತ್—ಜಲಗಳ ಪುತ್ರ—ಆಗುತ್ತೀ; ನೀನು ಆ ದೂತನಾಗುತ್ತೀ, ಯವನ ಹವ್ಯವನ್ನು ನೀನು ಹರ್ಷದಿಂದ ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸುತ್ತೀ.
