Sukta 1.33
वधीर्हि दस्युं धनिनं घनेनँ एकश्चरन्नुपशाकेभिरिन्द्र । धनोरधि विषुणक्ते व्यायन्नयज्वानः सनकाः प्रेतिमीयुः ॥
vadhī́r hí dasyúṃ dhanínaṃ ghanénaṁ ékaś cárann upaśākébhiḥ indra | dhánor ádhi viṣuṇákte vyā́yan áyajvānaḥ sanakā́ḥ prétiṃ īyuḥ ||
ಹೇ ಇಂದ್ರ, ನೀನು ಧನಿನ ದಸ್ಯುವನ್ನು ಘನ (ಪ್ರಹಾರಕ ಆಯುಧ)ದಿಂದ ವಧಿಸಿದೆ; ಒಬ್ಬನೇ ಸಂಚರಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಉಪಶಾಕಗಳ (ಸಹಾಯಕ ಶಕ್ತಿಗಳ)ೊಂದಿಗೆ. ಧನಸ್ಸಿನಿಂದ ನೀನು ಮುಂದುವರಿಯುತ್ತಾ ಅವರನ್ನು ಚದುರಿಸಿದೆ; ಅಯಜ್ವಾನ (ಯಜ್ಞವಿಲ್ಲದ) ಪುರಾತನರು—ಸನಕಾಃ—ವಿನಾಶದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಹೋದರು; ಅಸತ್ಯವು ಯಜ್ಞವಿಧಿಯನ್ನು ಒಪ್ಪದಾಗ, ಸತ್ಯಬಲವನ್ನು ತಾಳಲಾರಿದರು.
