Soma Pavamāna (Indu, the purified Soma)
This short Pavamāna hymn praises Soma as he is pressed, purified, and set flowing in a steady stream, breaking through resistances by innate force. It links the outer rite of filtration with inner inspiration: Soma becomes the cleanser (mārjya) and the awakener of Indra’s heroic ecstasy, while hymns themselves pour toward him like a milk-cow’s lowing.

Mantra 1
प्र सुवानो धारया तनेन्दुर्हिन्वानो अर्षति । रुजद्दृळ्हा व्योजसा ॥
सोम को निचोड़ा जा रहा है और वो बहता चला जा रहा है। एक धारा बन के बह रहा है। अपनी ताकत से वो सब कठोर चीज़ें तोड़ देता है।

सुत इन्द्राय वायवे वरुणाय मरुद्भ्यः । सोमो अर्षति विष्णवे ॥
सोम निकल के बह रहा है। यह इंद्र के पास जा रहा है, वायु के पास जा रहा है। वरुण के पास भी जा रहा है, मरुत देवताओं के पास भी। और विष्णु के पास भी जा रहा है।

वृषाणं वृषभिर्यतं सुन्वन्ति सोममद्रिभिः । दुहन्ति शक्मना पयः ॥
ताकतवाले लोग पत्थरों से सोम को निचोड़ते हैं। वो मज़बूत है और मज़बूत लोग उसे दबा रहे हैं। जैसे दूध निकालते हैं वैसे ही वो उसमे से मीठा रस निकाल रहे हैं।

भुवत्त्रितस्य मर्ज्यो भुवदिन्द्राय मत्सरः । सं रूपैरज्यते हरिः ॥
वो त्रित के लिए साफ करने वाला बन जाता है। इंद्र के लिए वो खुशी और जोश लाता है। पीला रंग वाला सोम तैयार किया जा रहा है। भगवान के काम के लिए उसको शेप दिया जा रहा है।

अभीमृतस्य विष्टपं दुहते पृश्निमातरः । चारु प्रियतमं हविः ॥
वो सब माँ एक जगह पर बैठे हैं। वो उसके लिए सबसे अच्छा प्यारा देना निकाल रहे हैं। यह देना इतना अच्छा है कि दिल खुश हो जाता है। इससे सच दुनिया अंदर बस जाती है।

समेनमह्रुता इमा गिरो अर्षन्ति सस्रुतः । धेनूर्वाश्रो अवीवशत् ॥
उसके लिए बिना बुलाए ही सब बातें बहने लगती हैं। एक के बाद एक आती रहती हैं। जैसे गाय अपना दूध देती है, वैसे ही यह शक्ति बोलती है। यह सुनने की शक्ति जागा देती है।
