अयं वेनश्चोदयत्पृश्निगर्भा ज्योतिर्जरायू रजसो विमाने । इममपां संगमे सूर्यस्य शिशुं न विप्रा मतिभी रिहन्ति ॥
वेन नाम की शक्ति दुनिया को जगाती है। वो एक रोशनी है जो अभी तक पैदा नहीं हुई। वो आसमान के बीच में है। रिशि लोग सोच-सोच के उसे पालते हैं जैसे कोई नया बच्चा होता है।

समुद्रादूर्मिमुदियर्ति वेनो नभोजाः पृष्ठं हर्यतस्य दर्शि । ऋतस्य सानावधि विष्टपि भ्राट् समानं योनिमभ्यनूषत व्राः ॥
वेन समुंदर से लहरा उठता है। वो आसमान से आया है और चमकता हुआ दिखता है। वो सचाई के ऊपर बैठे हैं। वो सब मिलकर एक ही जगह से पैदा होते हैं।

समानं पूर्वीरभि वावशानास्तिष्ठन्वत्सस्य मातरः सनीळाः । ऋतस्य सानावधि चक्रमाणा रिहन्ति मध्वो अमृतस्य वाणीः ॥
पुरानी माएँ एक ही जगह पर आती हैं। वो एक बच्चे के पास खड़ी रहती हैं। वो सचाई के ऊपर चल रही हैं। वो अमृत की बातें निकालती हैं जैसे शहद होता है।

जानन्तो रूपमकृपन्त विप्रा मृगस्य घोषं महिषस्य हि ग्मन् । ऋतेन यन्तो अधि सिन्धुमस्थुर्विदद्गन्धर्वो अमृतानि नाम ॥
रिशियों ने उसका रूप समझ के बनाया। एक जंगली जानवर की आवाज़ सुन के वो उसकी तरफ गए। सही रास्ते पर चल के वो नदी के पास पहुँच गए। गंधर्व ने वो नाम ढूँढ लिए जो कभी खत्म नहीं होते।

अप्सरा जारमुपसिष्मियाणा योषा बिभर्ति परमे व्योमन् । चरत्प्रियस्य योनिषु प्रियः सन्त्सीदत्पक्षे हिरण्यये स वेनः ॥
अप्सरा अपने प्यारे की तरफ मुस्कुरा के देखती है। वो उसे आसमान के सबसे ऊपर ले जाती है। प्यारे के पास रह के वो खुश है। वेन नाम का देवता सोना पख वाले ऊपर बैठता है।

नाके सुपर्णमुप यत्पतन्तं हृदा वेनन्तो अभ्यचक्षत त्वा । हिरण्यपक्षं वरुणस्य दूतं यमस्य योनौ शकुनं भुरण्युम् ॥
जब तू आसमान में उड़ान भरता है, लोग दिल से तुझे ढूँढते हैं। तेरी पखें सोना जैसी चमकती हैं। तू वरुण का पैगम्बर है, यम के पास तेज़ी से जाता है। कोई तुझे रोक नहीं सकता।

ऊर्ध्वो गन्धर्वो अधि नाके अस्थात्प्रत्यङ्चित्रा बिभ्रदस्यायुधानि । वसानो अत्कं सुरभिं दृशे कं स्वर्ण नाम जनत प्रियाणि ॥
गंधर्व आसमान में सीधा खड़ा है। उसके हाथ में चमकदार हथियार हैं। वो महकती रोशनी पहन के सबको दिखाता है। स्वर नाम की जगह से वो प्यारी चीज़ें पैदा करता है।

द्रप्सः समुद्रमभि यज्जिगाति पश्यन्गृध्रस्य चक्षसा विधर्मन् । भानुः शुक्रेण शोचिषा चकानस्तृतीये चक्रे रजसि प्रियाणि ॥
एक बूँद समुंदर की तरफ जाती है। गिद्ध की तरह आँख से देख के वो सही धरम फॉलो करती है। रोशनी अपनी चमक से खुश है। वो तीसरी दुनिया में प्यारी चीज़ें बना देती है।
