आ भन्दमाने उषसा उपाके उत स्मयेते तन्वा विरूपे । यथा नो मित्रो वरुणो जुजोषदिन्द्रो मरुत्वाँ उत वा महोभिः ॥

ā́ bhandamāne uṣásā upā́ke utá smayete tanvā́ virū́pe | yáthā no mitró váruṇo jújoṣad índro marútvāṃ utá vā máho-bhiḥ ||

ભન્દમાન (પ્રકાશમાન) બે ઉષસાઓ નજીક આવે છે, અને પોતાના ભિન્ન રૂપોમાં દેહથી સ્મિત કરે છે. જેમ મિત্ৰ અને વરુણ અમામાં પ્રસન્ન થાય, તેમ મહોબિઃ (મહાન શક્તિઓથી) મરુત્વાન ઇન્દ્ર પણ અમામાં આનંદ પામે.
