Sukta 3.4
दैव्या होतारा प्रथमा न्यृञ्जे सप्त पृक्षासः स्वधया मदन्ति । ऋतं शंसन्त ऋतमित्त आहुरनु व्रतं व्रतपा दीध्यानाः ॥
daivyā́ hótārā prathamā́ ny ṛ́ñje saptá pṛkṣā́saḥ svadháyā madanti | ṛtáṃ śáṃsanta ṛtám ít tá āhuḥ ánu vratáṃ vrata-pā́ dīdhyā́nāḥ ||
દૈવી હોતૃઓ—પ્રથમ—આસન ગ્રહણ કરે છે; સ્વધા (પોતાના સ્વભાવ-નિયમ)માં મદિત એવા સાત બળવાન (પૃક્ષાસ) આનંદિત થાય છે. તેઓ ઋતનું ગાન કરે છે, અને ઋતને જ કહે છે; વ્રતપાલક બની વ્રતોનું રક્ષણ કરતાં, વ્રતને અનુસરી, દીધ્યમાન (તપ્ત તેજમાં) પ્રજ્વલિત રહે છે.
