Sukta 3.1
प्राञ्चं यज्ञं चकृम वर्धतां गीः समिद्भिरग्निं नमसा दुवस्यन् । दिवः शशासुर्विदथा कवीनां गृत्साय चित्तवसे गातुमीषुः ॥
prā́ñcaṃ yajñáṃ cakṛma várdhatāṃ gī́ḥ samídbhīr agníṃ námasā duvasyán | diváḥ śaśāsur vidáthā kavīnā́ṃ gṛtsā́ya cit taváse gātúm ī́ṣuḥ ||
અમે યજ્ઞને પ્રાઞ્ચ—આગળ વધતો—કર્યો છે; પ્રેરિત ગીરઃ—સ્તુતિવાણી—વધે. સમિધો સાથે અગ્નિની નમસ્કારપૂર્વક સેવા કરીએ છીએ. કવિઓના વિદથ—યજ્ઞસત્ર—દિવઃ—દિવ્ય લોક/આકાશ—થી સ્થાપિત થયા; અને ગૃત્સમદ (ગૃત્સમદ) જેવા ચિત્તવસ—બળવાન મનવાળા—માટે પણ તેમણે ગાતુમ્—ગમનનો માર્ગ—શોધ્યો, જેથી બળ આગળ વધે.
