Sukta 8.39
तत्तदग्निर्वयो दधे यथायथा कृपण्यति । ऊर्जाहुतिर्वसूनां शं च योश्च मयो दधे विश्वस्यै देवहूत्यै नभन्तामन्यके समे ॥
tát-tad agnír váyo dadhé yáthā-yathā kṛpaṇyáti | ūrjā́hutiḥ vásūnāṃ śáṃ ca yóś ca máyó dadhé víśvasyai deváhūtyai nabhantām anyaké samé ||
Una y otra vez Agni establece la plenitud de la vida, según como el hombre, en la necesidad, anhela. Como ofrenda de fuerza para los Vasus, pone en nosotros paz, bienestar y deleite — para la invocación universal de los dioses; que las fuerzas contrarias sean desterradas a otra parte.
