Transliteration

vṛṣṭíṃ no arṣa divyā́ṃ jigatnúm iḷā́-vatīṃ śaṃ-gayī́ṃ jīrá-dānum | stukā́-iva vītā́ dhanva vi-cínvan bandhū́n imā́ṃ avárā́n indo vāyū́n ||

Translation

Lass für uns den Regen strömen, den himmlischen, sieghaft zum Ziel eilenden, reich an Ilā, heilbringend, freigebig im Geben. Wie ein abgeschossenes Geschoss eile dahin, o Indu, unterscheidend und sammelnd diese niederen Atemkräfte und Strömungen (vāyūn), um sie zur rechten Bewegung zu heben.
