Sukta 6.8
अपामुपस्थे महिषा अगृभ्णत विशो राजानमुप तस्थुॠग्मियम् । आ दूतो अग्निमभरद्विवस्वतो वैश्वानरं मातरिश्वा परावतः ॥
apā́m upásthe mahiṣā́ agṛbhṇata víśo rājā́nam úpa tasthur ṛ́gmiyam | ā́ dūtó agním abharad vivásvato vaiśvānaráṃ mātáriśvā parā́vataḥ ||
Im Schoß der Wasser ergriffen ihn die Mächtigen; die Völker traten zu ihrem König, reich an ṛg (heiligem Lied). Als Bote brachte Mātariśvan Agni von Vivasvat — aus der fernen Ferne — Vaiśvānara, das verborgene Feuer, in den Bereich menschlichen Wirkens.
