Sukta 5.54
तद्वीर्यं वो मरुतो महित्वनं दीर्घं ततान सूर्यो न योजनम् । एता न यामे अगृभीतशोचिषोऽनश्वदां यन्न्ययातना गिरिम् ॥
tád vī́ryaṁ vo maruto mahitvánam dī́rghaṁ tatāna sū́ryo ná yójanam | etā́ ná yā́me agṛ́bhīta-śociṣo'naśvadā́m yán nyáyātanā girím ||
Das ist eure Heldenkraft, o Maruts, eure weite Größe: sie spannt sich fernhin, wie der lange Lauf der Sonne. So zogt ihr auf eurem Gang dahin, mit ungebundenem, loderndem Glanz; und ohne Rosse stürztet ihr euch auf den Berg — aus der Macht leuchtenden Willens.
