Sukta 10.43
कृतं न श्वघ्नी वि चिनोति देवने संवर्गं यन्मघवा सूर्यं जयत् । न तत्ते अन्यो अनु वीर्यं शकन्न पुराणो मघवन्नोत नूतनः ॥
kṛtáṃ ná śvá-ghnī ví cinoti dévane saṃvárgaṃ yán maghávā sū́ryaṃ jáyat | ná tát te anyó ánu vī́ryaṃ śakanná purāṇó maghavannóta nū́tanaḥ ||
Wie der glückliche Spieler den gewinnenden Wurf einsammelt, so wird der ganze Einsatz gewonnen, wenn der Freigebige (Maghavan) die Sonne besiegt. Keiner sonst vermag deiner Heldenkraft zu folgen, o Maghavan – weder der Alte noch der Neue.
