Kaivalya
কৈবল্য উপনিষদ (অথৰ্ববেদ-সম্পৰ্কিত, ২৬ মন্ত্ৰ) সংক্ষিপ্ত হলেও বেদান্তচিন্তাত অতি গুৰুত্বপূৰ্ণ। ইয়াত ঋষি আশ্বলায়ন ব্ৰহ্মাৰ ওচৰত পৰম জ্ঞান প্ৰাৰ্থনা কৰে আৰু ব্ৰহ্মাই সন্ন্যাস, তপ, শ্ৰদ্ধা আৰু অন্তঃশুদ্ধিৰ সৈতে ব্ৰহ্মবিদ্যাৰ উপদেশ দিয়ে। ‘কৈবল্য’ অৰ্থাৎ পৰম মুক্তি—আত্মা-ব্ৰহ্ম অভেদজ্ঞানৰ দ্বাৰাই সিদ্ধ হয় বুলি উপনিষদে প্ৰতিপাদন কৰে। ইয়াত আত্মাক জাগ্ৰত-স্বপ্ন-সুষুপ্তি তিন অৱস্থাৰ সাক্ষী, স্বপ্ৰকাশ চৈতন্য আৰু কৰ্মাসঙ্গ বুলি ব্যাখ্যা কৰা হৈছে। বাহ্য কৰ্মকাণ্ডৰ তুলনাত অন্তৰ্মুখ ধ্যানক প্ৰাধান্য—হৃদয়-পদ্মত ব্ৰহ্মধ্যান, দেহ-মন-অহংকাৰৰ আসক্তি ত্যাগ, আৰু বিবেক-বৈৰাগ্যৰ দ্বাৰা সত্যস্বরূপ উপলব্ধি। ৰুদ্ৰ/শিৱস্তৱ বিশেষ হলেও উপসংহাৰ অদ্বৈত: ব্ৰহ্মা, বিষ্ণু, ৰুদ্ৰ, ইন্দ্ৰ আদি সকলো দেৱতা আৰু সৃষ্টিস্থিতিলয়ৰ ক্ৰিয়া এক পৰম তত্ত্বত একীভূত। ফলত জীৱন্মুক্তি, শোক-ভয় নাশ আৰু পুনর্জন্মনিবৃত্তি ঘোষণা কৰা হয়।
