Sukta 1.90
Collective deities invoked for well-being (svasti) / protective powers (plural ‘te amṛtāḥ’)
本颂歌向众“永生之力”(amṛtāḥ)祈祷——常被理解为阿底提耶诸神及守护ṛta(宇宙正序)的同盟护卫者——愿赐予svasti(安泰、福祉)、护佑,以及内外安稳的和平。诗中祈求驱逐敌对势力与恶意,使经验之诸界(夜、曙光、地界与天界)皆成“甘蜜”(madhu),即和谐、吉祥,并扶持正当的生活之道。
Mantra 1
ऋजुनीती नो वरुणो मित्रो नयतु विद्वान् । अर्यमा देवैः सजोषाः ॥
愿知晓正直引导之道的伐楼那(Varuṇa)与密特拉(Mitra)引领我们;愿阿利耶曼(Aryaman)与诸天神同心相契。
Mantra 2
ते हि वस्वो वसवानास्ते अप्रमूरा महोभिः । व्रता रक्षन्ते विश्वाहा ॥
因为他们确是诸宝之宝的真正持有者;不为迷妄所惑,凭其广大威力,日日守护正行之法度(vratá)。
Mantra 3
ते अस्मभ्यं शर्म यंसन्नमृता मर्त्येभ्यः । बाधमाना अप द्विषः ॥
愿那些不死的神力赐我等以庇护的安宁,赐予凡人;并驱逐那敌对之众,使其远离。
Mantra 4
वि नः पथः सुविताय चियन्त्विन्द्रो मरुतः । पूषा भगो वन्द्यासः ॥
愿因陀罗与马鲁特众神,及普尚与婆伽——堪受我等礼敬之威力——为我们清理并开辟道路,使行旅吉祥,成就正当圆满。
Mantra 5
उत नो धियो गोअग्राः पूषन्विष्णवेवयावः । कर्ता नः स्वस्तिमतः ॥
又愿我们的思虑,由光之光线引领,得以正行——噢普尚,噢广行的毗湿奴——愿你为我们成为造就安康充盈之境的成办者。
Mantra 6
मधु वाता ऋतायते मधु क्षरन्ति सिन्धवः । माध्वीर्नः सन्त्वोषधीः ॥
依真理之法而行的风息是甘甜的;存在之诸河流淌亦甘甜。愿我们内在的药草与疗愈之力皆成蜜味——充满喜悦与和谐。
Mantra 7
मधु नक्तमुतोषसो मधुमत्पार्थिवं रजः । मधु द्यौरस्तु नः पिता ॥
愿我们的夜与曙光皆成甘蜜;愿大地这流转之境亦成甘蜜。愿天穹——我们的父——于我等为甘蜜。
Mantra 8
मधुमान्नो वनस्पतिर्मधुमाँ अस्तु सूर्यः । माध्वीर्गावो भवन्तु नः ॥
愿林木之主(Vanaspati)于我等为甘蜜;愿太阳亦为甘蜜。愿诸牛——光明之射线——于我等皆成甘蜜。
Mantra 9
शं नो मित्रः शं वरुणः शं नो भवत्वर्यमा । शं न इन्द्रो बृहस्पतिः शं नो विष्णुरुरुक्रमः ॥
愿密特拉赐我等安宁,愿伐楼那赐我等安宁;愿阿利耶曼为我等成就安宁。愿因陀罗与布里哈斯帕提赐我等安宁;愿广步的毗湿奴赐我等安宁。
It is a prayer for svasti (well-being) and protection, asking the Immortal Powers who uphold cosmic order to grant peace and drive away hostile influences.
They are a collective group of divine guardians—often understood as the Ādityas and allied deities—who protect ṛta (right order) and support human life with auspiciousness.
“Madhu” literally means honey, and in this hymn it signifies sweetness, harmony, and auspiciousness—wishing that all times and realms of experience become supportive and rightly ordered.
