婆母以双臂拥抱弥提利(悉多),并在她额上亲吻,随后开口说道——尽管悉多的品行并无任何可怜之处。

Family dharma expressed as compassion and blessing: elders uphold tenderness and moral support, especially when the righteous face undeserved suffering.
Kaushalyā embraces and blesses Sītā as she is about to leave for the forest; the narrator notes Sītā’s steady demeanor.
Sītā’s self-possessed fortitude (not seeking pity) and Kaushalyā’s maternal compassion and protective affection.
