Sukta 12

Sukta 13

Rishi: Atharvanic tradition (unspecified in excerpt). | Devata: Sūrya (as paradigmatic victor); the operative target is the dvīṣant (enemy). | 2 Mantras

Sukta 14

Sukta 15

Sukta 18

Frequently Asked Questions

They are largely paustika: they seek increase—wealth, radiance, social standing, offspring, rain, and ritual success—by aligning the practitioner with cosmic order, true impulsion (satyasava), and divine assent.

Sukta 7.12 is the sabhā–samiti charm, aiming at protected entry, acceptance, and persuasive speech by invoking the concord and authority associated with Prajāpati.

Prosperity is built through Sarasvatī and Savitar-centered increase (7.11, 7.14–7.16) and household stabilization (7.17, 7.19), while opposition is handled through varcas-appropriation over rivals (7.13) and protective social integration in sabhā/samiti (7.12).
