FAQs

It reflects a common Purāṇic literary strategy: situating divine agency and relationships across cyclical world-ages (yugas), reinforcing continuity of mythic time and doctrinal memory within the Purāṇic tradition.

Śvetadvīpa is named; in Purāṇic cosmography it is a sacred 'white island/continent' associated with transcendent or idealized realms. Modern scholarship generally treats it as mythic-cosmological geography rather than a single securely identifiable terrestrial site.

The verse foregrounds sustained remembrance and praise (stuti) as a philosophical discipline—emphasizing continuity of reverence and moral orientation across changing times rather than a location-specific injunction.
