Outer meaning

The streams flow forth from the strong one; by the might of the pressed Soma they run, moving after the gods, adorning them.

Inner meaning

When Soma (Ananda) is ‘pressed’—i.e., extracted by aspiration and disciplined practice—its currents begin to move powerfully through the system. These currents follow (anu) the devas: they naturally take the shape of higher workings (illumination, right will, harmony), beautifying and strengthening them in the seeker’s nature.

Universal truth

True delight and energy, when purified and consciously gathered, spontaneously supports higher faculties and makes noble action easier and more luminous.

Themes

Soma-ritual, Purification (Pavamāna), Divine energies in the human system, Flow of delight-power
