वाममद्य सवितर्वाममु श्वो दिवेदिवे वाममस्मभ्यं सावीः । वामस्य हि क्षयस्य देव भूरेरया धिया वामभाजः स्याम ॥
vāmám adyá savitar vāmám u śvó divédive vāmám asmábhyaṃ sāvīḥ | vā́masya hí kṣáyasya deva bhū́rer ayā́ dhiyā́ vāma-bhā́jaḥ syāma ||
اے ساوتر، آج پسندیدہ بھلائی؛ کل پسندیدہ بھلائی؛ دن بہ دن تو ہمارے لیے پسندیدہ چیز کی تحریک کر۔ کیونکہ اس خوشی کے وسیع ٹھکانے کا، اے دیو، ہم اس فکر اور ارادے کے چلنے سے حصہ دار بنیں۔
