देवैर्नो देव्यदितिर्नि पातु देवस्त्राता त्रायतामप्रयुच्छन् । नहि मित्रस्य वरुणस्य धासिमर्हामसि प्रमियं सान्वग्नेः ॥
deváir no devy áditir ní pātu devás trātā́ trāyatām áprayucchan | náhi mitrásya váruṇasya dhā́sím árhāmasi pramíyaṃ sā́nv agnéḥ ||
دیوی ادیتی دیوتاؤں کے ساتھ ہمارا تحفظ کرے؛ الہی محافظ بغیر ناکام ہوئے ہماری نجات کرے۔ کیونکہ ہم متر اور ورون کے قائم کردہ احکامات کو کم کرنے کے اہل نہیں ہیں، نہ اگنی کی خواہش کے شعلے کے مضبوط سرے سے گرنا۔
