Sukta 2.42
अव क्रन्द दक्षिणतो गृहाणां सुमङ्गलो भद्रवादी शकुन्ते । मा नः स्तेन ईशत माघशंसो बृहद्वदेम विदथे सुवीराः ॥
áva kranda dakṣiṇató gṛhā́ṇāṃ sumaṅgaló bhadravādī́ śakunte | mā́ naḥ stená ī́śata mā́ aghaśáṃso bṛhád vadema vidáthe suvī́rāḥ ||
ہمارے گھر کے دائیں جانب سے ہمارے لیے چیخ، اے فال کے پرندے، مبارک اور اچھی بات کہنے والے۔ کوئی چور کو حکمران بنانے والی قوت ہم پر حکومت نہ کرے؛ کوئی بری آواز والی طاقت غالب نہ آئے۔ ہم اس وسیع کو مقدس مجلس میں ادا کریں اور بہادر طاقتوں سے بھرپور ہوں۔
