Sukta 10.87
रक्षोहणं वाजिनमा जिघर्मि मित्रं प्रथिष्ठमुप यामि शर्म । शिशानो अग्निः क्रतुभिः समिद्धः स नो दिवा स रिषः पातु नक्तम् ॥
rakṣó-haṇaṃ vā́jinam ā́ jigharmi mitráṃ práthiṣṭham úpa yāmi śárma | śiśā́no agníḥ krátubhiḥ sámiddhaḥ sá no divā́ sá riṣáḥ pātu náktam ||
میں اس تیز قوت کو بھڑکاتا اور آگے بڑھاتا ہوں جو خلاء ڈالنے والوں کو مارتی ہے؛ میں استوار دوست کو پناہ کے طور پر قریب جاتا ہوں۔ اگنی، ارادوں سے روشن، ہماری عبادت سے بھڑکا ہوا - وہ دن میں ہماری حفاظت کرے، رات میں ہمیں نقصان سے بچائے۔
