Proposal for Rāma’s Installation as Heir-Apparent

Rama knows the ways of righteousness. He is true to his word and free from envy. He possesses a sound character with forbearance, gentleness and a sense of gratitude. With his senses under control, he is a source of consolation (in stressfultimes).
Dharma is shown as inner discipline expressed outwardly: truthfulness, non-envy, gentleness, gratitude, and self-control together form the moral foundation of leadership.
In the course of praising Rāma, the speaker enumerates his personal virtues as evidence of his dharmic nature.
Vijitendriyatā (sense-control) supporting satya and compassion—virtue as stable self-mastery, not momentary impulse.
