रुरोस्तु दानवेन्द्रस्य चर्ममुण्डे क्षणाद् यतः । अपहृत्याहरद् देवी चामुण्डा तेन साभवत् ॥
rurostu dānavendrasya carmamuṇḍe kṣaṇād yataḥ | apahṛtyāharad devī cāmuṇḍā tena sābhavat ||
เพราะเทวีได้ฉวยและนำ ‘จรมะ’ และ ‘มุณฑะ’ ไปจากรุรุ ผู้เป็นจอมแห่งทานวะ ในชั่วขณะเดียว ด้วยเหตุนั้นนางจึงเป็นที่รู้จักนามว่า จามุณฑา
