Pṛthivī (defaulted to the inquirer within the Varāha–Pṛthivī dialogue framework)
It reflects a common Purāṇic philosophical move: divine actions and forms are presented as pedagogical and cosmological functions, while the ultimate nature is framed as prior to or beyond embodiment—useful for understanding how Purāṇas integrate devotion, cosmology, and contemplative practice.
No geographic toponym is named in this verse; the content is primarily cosmological and contemplative rather than site-specific.
The verse emphasizes epistemic humility and disciplined contemplation: without appropriate means (teachings/practices), the ‘Ancient One’ is not easily recognized—encouraging study and meditative inquiry rather than mere reliance on external form.
