Viṣṇukiṅkarāḥ (attendants/servants of Viṣṇu)
Tapas and divine proximity determine real authority; worldly rank (even Indra) is secondary to alignment with Nārāyaṇa.
Cultivate disciplined practice and humility; do not assume entitlement based on office, fame, or power.
Audience and honors (arghya, pratyutthāna) must follow true hierarchy; even Indra is to be restrained when a higher authority (Vishnu’s order/tapas-based supremacy) is operative.
Proper protocol preserves dharma and merit; violating hierarchy/propriety leads to humiliation and loss of standing (apamāna) before higher beings.
41.41.38-41.41.41 (continuation: lokapālas withdraw; king attains higher realm; fruit of observance)
It reflects a Purāṇic literary motif where social protocol (offering arghya, rising to استقبال) intersects with the concept that spiritual discipline (tapas) can confer exceptional status—even relative to major deities like Indra—illustrating values of ascetic authority in Sanskrit narrative culture.
No specific geographic toponym is named in this verse; it is primarily a courtly/narrative exchange focused on reception protocol and hierarchy.
The verse foregrounds disciplined conduct and the cultural valuation of tapas: respectful forms of reception are acknowledged, yet authority is portrayed as grounded in austerity and restraint rather than merely institutional rank.
