मानुषे शूद्रतां याति लब्ध्वा यदि तु तुष्यति ॥ ततो वैश्यत्वमागच्छेत्कर्मणा अनेन वेष्टितः
mānuṣe śūdratāṃ yāti labdhvā yadi tu tuṣyati || tato vaiśyatvam āgacchet karmaṇā anena veṣṭitaḥ
เมื่อเกิดเป็นมนุษย์ เขาย่อมไปสู่ฐานะศูทร; และหากได้แล้วพอใจอยู่ในนั้น ก็อาจไปสู่ฐานะไวศยะได้ โดยถูกกรรมนี้ผูกมัดไว้
