दृष्ट्वा तं पितरो यान्ति निराशा निरयं द्रुतम् ॥ दैवे कर्मणि चैवं तु तेषां दत्तं सुनिष्फलम् ॥

เมื่อบรรพชนเห็นคนเช่นนั้น ย่อมจากไปด้วยความสิ้นหวังและรีบไปสู่แดนทุกข์ทรมาน และในพิธีบูชาเทพก็เช่นกัน ทานที่ให้ในลักษณะนั้นย่อมไร้ผลโดยสิ้นเชิงสำหรับพวกเขา
